The European Board of Infectious Diseases (EBID) and the European Board for CME Accreditation in Infectious Diseases (EBAID) are permanent subcommittees of the UEMS Section and Board of Infectious Diseases. These subcommittees propose training curricula, rules for training center and board certification and accreditation of continuous medical education in the specialty of infectious disease. These rules must be approved by the assembly of members and be fixed in bylaws of the UEMS Section and Board of Infectious Diseases. Chairpersons of each Board are elected from the membership for a 4-year term of office. The EBID Chairperson will automatically be Vice-President. Vice-chairs of EBID and EBAID, an EBID member-at-large and an EBAID member-at-large will also be elected from the membership for renewable 4-year terms of office.
